Woodthorpe JI School nurtures children to become confident and creative learners. Children are encouraged to meet challenges with enthusiasm and a willingness to solve problems within our inclusive, secure and caring environment. We promote respect for individual differences and community values.
I am hoping to give the children an ice lolly during playtime on Wednesday as a goodbye treat before my maternity leave starts. I have attached a photo of the packaging and the ingredients. If you have any issues with this please can you email me at yrechomeschool@woodthorpe-school.com
Please find a copy of the letter all children will be sent home with today, with further details regarding sports day on Thursday. The weather forecast looks good!
In Topic this week we have been looking at the human life cycle and learning a poem about growing up. Next week the children will be writing about all the things they can do now that they couldn’t do when they were a baby. To support this please could the children bring in/ email a baby photo. The children can share their baby photos with the class and it will help our discussion about how we have changed.
The baby photos will need to be sent in/ emailed by MONDAY 27th JUNE ready for the topic lesson.
Next Saturday, some of our musicians will be performing at the farmers market at St Mary’s churchyard in Moseley. Please come along and support them if you can. See more details in the poster below.
Sports day is taking place on Thursday 23rd June. The children will need to bring into school a t shirt that is the same colour as their house team. A letter will be sent out soon with more information for the events.
Here are the House teams and colours for Sports Day
