Raffle Tickets

This year, Woodthorpe Friends are asking our families to help sell raffle tickets. Today your child will have brought home a book of 5 raffle tickets, in an envelope, to sell to family, neighbours and/or friends. Each ticket is £1 and a book is £5.

Once sold, the money and completed ticket stubs must be returned together to class teachers. Please return them in the envelope provided, with your child’s name and class on the front, that way we can keep track of the highest sellers. The highest seller in each class will receive a prize. A voucher for a Family Splash session at Cocks Moor Wood Leisure Centre will be given for the most sold in the school.

If you are unable to sell the tickets for any reason, please return them to your child’s class teacher, so they can be redistributed. If you wish to sell more than one book, you can email friendsofwoodthorpeschool@gmail.com and we will get them to your child. Alternatively, where possible, a Woodthorpe Volunteer will also be available at the end of the school day to hand out extra books.

To be entered into the draw, all raffle ticket stubs and money will need to be returned by Monday 12th December.

#HalfTimeChallenge

During the 2022 tournament, the Youth Sport Trust will release three video challenges via our social media channels below for families to complete.

How to enter

  • The first on 21 November which is when the Home Countries play their first matches
  • The second on 03 December when the knock-out stages begin
  • The third on 13 December – the day of the semi-finals.

The videos will test families’ football skills with challenges such as nearest to the pin, ‘keepy uppies’ and dribbling accuracy.

At each stage you can upload photos and videos of yourself and your family participating in the challenges, using the hashtag #HalfTimeChallenge and tagging @YouthSportTrust for a chance to WIN one of three Adidas Al Rihla footballs. The official match ball of FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
